PATS Exhibitors Grow With The Show!

The UK’s dedicated pet trade show is set to grow for 2011. Because demand for stands has been so high, the dual-venue show will cover more space at both Sandown and Harrogate, with some show features spreading to the upper floor at Sandown in Surrey and to an additional hall in Harrogate International Centre.

Many exhibitors have requested increased stand sizes and one particular success story comes from Lily’s Kitchen. The PATS Discovery Point concept was created in order to enable newer companies or those with ‘limited edition’ specialist products to exhibit with simple but high impact displays. Lily’s Kitchen, manufacturer of quality organic dog and cat foods, first exhibited in PATS 2010’s Discovery Point and enjoyed a great success. In 2011 the company returns with a larger, 9 square metre stand. Director Henrietta Morrison is delighted to give the reason:

“Having been to 23 shows last year, the PATS show was the most successful – we opened 30 new accounts. The difference seemed to be that visitors were very motivated and ready to do business! We had several visitors who arrived on our stand saying they had come specifically to meet us – you can’t hope for better than that!”

Beaphar UK, one of PATS 2010’s Retailers’ Choice Award Winners, will return to both Sandown and Harrogate next year, doubling its stand size at both shows.  Liberta has also doubled the size of both its Sandown and Harrogate stands for 2011. Other companies increasing their stand sizes include double PATS award-winners Barking and Meowing Heads and Kruuse. Companies such as Cosipet and Symply Pets, who exhibited at Harrogate in 2010 will repeat the Harrogate experience in 2011 and also make their PATS Sandown debuts. Specialist retail display company, Hertford Shelving, will return to Sandown for the third year running as will Crown Petfoods, Skinners Pet Foods, Burns Pet Nutrition and Wagg Foods; Nestle Purina, Johnsons Veterinary Products, Gor Pet and Farm Foods are amongst the brands again returning to both shows. With its pure pet focus and a diversity of products and supplies within that focus, PATS 2011 will ensure once again that all pet trade retailers, both national and international, will be able to visit a trade show that is easily accessible and dedicated to the products and supplies they seek.

PATS organisers have built a reputation for listening to the requests of the trade and the show develops and changes accordingly. Many have requested that the opening hours be extended to allow busy retailers who find it difficult to leave their retail premises for even half a day to visit after shop closing hours. Accordingly at both venues, the first days of the show will be open until 7pm. Visitor benefits such as free entry with a welcome tea/coffee, free parking (subject to available space at Harrogate), free topical seminars and demonstrations and free show catalogues on arrival will continue. The greatly enhanced PATS 2011 website is now live and show news and features, together with full exhibitor lists, are now available and will be regularly updated.

PATS Sandown takes place 22nd and 23rd March 2011.
PATS Harrogate takes place 5th and 6th April 2011.
